Will Obamacare Force You to Drop Your Family’s Health Insurance?

The shocked look on CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin’s face as he emerged from the Supreme Court oral arguments over Obamacare was priceless:

“This was a train wreck for the Obama administration. This law looks like it’s going to be struck down. I’m telling you, all of the predictions, including mine, that the justices would not have a problem with this law, were wrong,” Toobin said on CNN on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, Toobin had upped the ante: “This still looks like a train wreck for the Obama Administration, and it may also be a plane wreck. This entire law is now in serious trouble. It also seems that the individual mandate is doomed.”

Somewhere, Ronald Reagan is smiling.

The View from the Rick Bus

I’ve just returned from several weeks on the Rick Bus.  We started in Michigan—from Kalamazoo to Traverse City.  Then we decided to move on through Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, and, most recently, Alabama and Mississippi.

I know that all of you do not share my support for Rick Santorum.  I have always told the media I’m not anti-Romney, I’m pro-Rick.  In a few weeks or a few months, we will all have to unite behind the nominee, because this is a simply momentous election for life, for marriage and for religious liberty.

We are one vote short at the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v.Wade.  The lives of millions of unborn children–and the integrity of our Constitution—are at stake.  We may be just one vote away from the Supreme Court imposing gay marriage on all 50 states—with no religious liberty protection for dissenters.  That’s huge.

And the Obamacare mandates, if not repealed, will spell the end of religious liberty in the United States.  I’m going to tell you more in coming weeks about the shocking news I am learning from experts about how bad the punishments inflicted on religious people and our institutions will be if we do not stop Obamacare.

Rick Bus Rolls into Mississippi

Last night I met Rick Santorum’s cousin, a Miss Mississippi runner-up in 1963, outside the Alabama Presidential Forum at the famous Lyric theater in Birmingham. I watched the forum on the RickBus,
driving towards Mississippi. Santorum rocked. Newt was, imho, strange: “Who is better for your family, President Algae at $10 a barrel or President Drilling at $2.50 a barrel?” And something about
Steve Moore and battery research.

This morning we are in Jackson, Hattiesburg and Biloxi with last minute media hits getting the message out.

Obama’s Secret Database on Your Child

How does the left succeed in using power to reshape our culture?

Let me put this another way: how do so many people with radical ideas embraced by so few manage to get inside your own child’s head, or your own grandchild’s—or even your own head?

President Obama, an old Saul Alinsky inspired “community organizer,” is no piker when it comes to playing culture war.

Consider one of the biggest initiatives you probably never heard about: Obama’s successful effort to create a federally controlled database storing personal information on every public school child.

(I hope that sentence got your attention.)

Yes—right now Pres. Obama’s secretary of education Arne Duncan is assembling piece-by-piece a database of deeply personal—and personally identifiable—information on your child or grandchild that he will control. Pres. Obama’s Secretary of Education has even issued new regulations giving himself the power to share this information with basically anyone he wants—without asking parents’ permission.

Obama’s Anti-Religious Mandates: Worse Than You Think

I woke up yesterday morning in Columbus, Ohio,  part of a rolling 20 city Rickbus.com tour through Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Georgia for life, for marriage and religious liberty.

The Culture War Victory Fund has teamed with the Susan B. Anthony List to stand and defend these core civilizational values.

This election in November is going to be make or break for American civilization.

A conservatism worthy of the name has to be committed to conserving and (where necessary) reviving the animating values of our Founding Fathers.

In Columbus, on a platform with Sen. Mike DeWine and Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, speaking to a crowd of cheering Tea Party activists, Pro-lifers, and ordinary Americans shocked by Pres. Obama’s overreach, I said that there is no genuine divide between social issues and economic issues—between the deep foundational sources of America and the policies that either limit government and promote growth or destroy both.

This biggest of the Big Lies now being foisted on us: that somehow we have to choose between our core values and winning elections.
